KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli wrapped up the province’s commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children with a series of impactful activities in Gamalakhe, Ugu District.
In a groundbreaking move to address gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli formally handed over appointment letters to 173 GBVF activists during a ceremony at the Westville Correctional Centre on Monday.
365 Days Launch will focus on Transitioning from an annual focus to a sustained, year-long effort to address GBVF. Premier Ntuli will introduce Gender-Based Violence Ambassadors representing various districts across the province. These ambassadors will serve as community champions, raising awareness and driving local efforts to combat GBVF.
