Pietermaritzburg– Honourable Thembeni kaMadlopha-Mthethwa, the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, has been appointed as Acting Premier of the province. This follows the temporary designation by Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli, who, along with other members of the provincial legislature, is on an official visit to the United States of America to participate in Climate Week in New York.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, has called on the police to leave no stone unturned in their investigation into the recent barbaric killings at Highflats. Premier Ntuli expressed his deep concern over these brutal acts of violence and called for an end to such acts in the province.
Premier Ntuli, accompanied by the MECs and the South African Police Service (SAPS), will conduct a Community Izimbizo and Service Delivery Monitoring Programme in Caluza, Pietermaritzburg, under the Umgungundlovu District Municipality.
