KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli attended the Imbizo yesizwe hosted by Inkosi Ntombela at the KwaNobamba Babanango Sports Complex on Wednesday, 18 December 2025.
The Imbizo brought together traditional leadership and communities to engage on issues affecting local development, social cohesion, and governance within traditional communities. It served as an important platform for dialogue between government, traditional authorities, and community members.
The gathering was attended by more than fifteen Amakhosi from various parts of KwaZulu-Natal, reflecting unity and cooperation among traditional leaders across the province. Among those present was Inkosi Zuzifa Buthelezi of the KwaPhindangene Royal Palace.
Premier Ntuli acknowledged the critical role played by traditional leadership in fostering stability, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting development initiatives at community level. He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to working closely with Amakhosi and traditional councils to address service delivery challenges and improve the lives of people living in rural and traditional areas.
The Imbizo yesizwe underscored the importance of inclusive engagement and partnership between government and traditional institutions in building a peaceful, united, and prosperous KwaZulu-Natal.
