KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli officially closed the 2025 SALGA KZN DSAC Games during a glittering ceremony held at the Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday night, 7 December 2025.
Team eThekwini emerged as the overall champions of this year’s competition, securing an impressive total of 157 medals, comprising 32 bronze, 49 silver, and 76 gold medals.
Premier Ntuli praised all participating teams and athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship. He also expressed appreciation to District and Local Municipality Mayors for their support, which ensured the successful participation of teams from across the province.
“All participants who played different roles in the 2025 SALGA KZN DSAC Games are champions,” concluded Premier Ntuli.
The 2025 edition of the Games once again showcased the province’s sporting talent, strengthened inter-municipal unity, and reaffirmed KwaZulu-Natal’s commitment to promoting active and healthy communities.
