KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli joined congregants of the Lutheran Church of Southern Africa, eMpangeni South Parish, in celebrating the church’s Golden Jubilee Gala Dinner on Saturday, 11 October 2025, held at Eden Park Primary School in Empangeni.
Honouring 50 Years of Faith and Service
The Golden Jubilee marked a significant milestone in the life of the eMpangeni South Parish, commemorating 50 years of spiritual leadership, community service, and faith-based development. The event brought together church leaders, congregants, and members of the local community to reflect on the parish’s legacy and its contributions to social and moral upliftment in the region.
Premier Ntuli’s Tribute
In his address, Premier Ntuli commended the parish for being a pillar of hope, unity, and moral guidance over the past five decades. He praised the church for its steadfast commitment to community development, social cohesion, and the spiritual well-being of the people of Empangeni and surrounding areas.
“For the past 50 years, this parish has not only been a house of worship but a beacon of light and compassion that has touched countless lives. You have inspired hope, nurtured faith, and built a stronger community through service and prayer,” said Premier Ntuli.
Faith as a Foundation for Community Strength
Premier Ntuli further highlighted the critical role that faith-based organisations play in advancing social stability, moral regeneration, and youth empowerment. He reaffirmed the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government’s appreciation for the church’s partnership in promoting values that strengthen families and communities.
The Premier concluded by congratulating the Lutheran Church of Southern Africa’s eMpangeni South Parish on its Golden Jubilee and encouraged the congregation to continue its mission of uplifting lives through faith, compassion, and unity.
