KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, accompanied by MEC for Education Honourable Sipho Hlomuka, conducted a strategic oversight visit to the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination paper printing centre in Durban this morning.
Ensuring Exam Integrity and Security
The visit formed part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to ensure that all examination processes are conducted with integrity, transparency, and strict adherence to security protocols. The Premier and MEC inspected the centre’s operations to verify readiness for the 2025 NSC examinations, which will see thousands of learners across KwaZulu-Natal sit for their final school-leaving assessments.
Commitment to Quality and Accountability
Premier Ntuli reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of examination administration. He noted that the credibility of the education system rests on the fairness and integrity of the examination process, and that the Department of Education continues to improve systems that safeguard both learners and educators.
Strengthening Preparedness
The oversight visit also allowed the leadership to assess the security measures in place to protect examination materials, including printing, packaging, and distribution protocols. The Premier commended the Department’s dedicated officials for their diligence in ensuring that KwaZulu-Natal maintains national confidence in its examination management.
“Our duty as government is to guarantee that every learner writes their exams under conditions that are fair, secure, and credible. Today’s visit reaffirms that KwaZulu-Natal is ready to deliver the 2025 NSC examinations with integrity and efficiency,” said Premier Ntuli.
The visit underscored the Provincial Government of Unity’s focus on accountability, preparedness, and excellence in education, as KwaZulu-Natal continues to position itself as a leader in effective examination administration and learner achievement.
