KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli delivered announcements on the celebrations of Umkhosi WeLembe and other Heritage Month events in the province during a Legislature sitting on Thursday, 25 September 2025.
Honouring Heritage and Tradition
The Premier reaffirmed the importance of Heritage Month as a platform to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories that define KwaZulu-Natal. He emphasised that events such as Umkhosi WeLembe, which honours the legacy of King Shaka, play a central role in preserving cultural heritage and fostering social cohesion.

During the sitting, Premier Ntuli also responded to inputs made by Honourable Members regarding the commemoration of Heritage Month.
