KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli and Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane met with the Chief Executive Officers of all 69 provincial hospitals and managers of 22 Community Health Centres (CHCs) at Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital in eThekwini.

The meeting addressed key issues affecting healthcare delivery in the province, including infrastructure management, human resources, and resource allocation. Discussions were open, solution-driven, and focused on strengthening the healthcare system to better serve communities across KwaZulu-Natal.

Premier Ntuli commended the resilience and leadership of hospital CEOs in managing facilities under challenging conditions such as tight budgets and limited resources. He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with both political and administrative health leadership to address systemic challenges and improve service delivery.

MEC Simelane expressed her appreciation to the Premier for engaging directly with healthcare managers and listening to the realities they face on the ground.

Both leaders pledged continued support to ensure healthcare facilities operate optimally, with a shared vision of delivering accessible, quality healthcare to all communities in the province.
