KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thami Ntuli, joined mourners today in celebrating the life and legacy of the late Bishop Dino Gabriel, a revered spiritual leader whose life was marked by unwavering faith, compassion, and a tireless commitment to serving others.
Attending the memorial service alongside members of the faith community and provincial leadership, Premier Ntuli described Bishop Gabriel as a beacon of unity and spiritual strength in KwaZulu-Natal.
“To the church, he was a faithful pastor. To the province, he was a unifier. To many, he was a spiritual father who preached peace, hope, and healing. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched,” said Premier Ntuli.
Bishop Gabriel was widely recognised for his lifelong dedication to ministry, his efforts in fostering interdenominational collaboration, and his work in promoting reconciliation during challenging times in the province’s history. His ministry extended beyond the pulpit, reaching deep into communities where he championed social justice, healing, and moral regeneration.
The Premier noted that Bishop Gabriel’s passing is not only a loss to the church but to the entire province, which benefited greatly from his wisdom, humility, and inclusive spirit.
“As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life lived with grace, courage, and purpose. His teachings and actions will continue to inspire future generations,” Premier Ntuli concluded.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and congregants of Bishop Dino Gabriel. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
