Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal,25 May 2025 -KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli led the province’s Africa Day celebrations at the Mangosuthu Buthelezi Regional Stadium in Ulundi, marking a day of cultural pride, unity, and reflection on the shared heritage of the African continent.
Africa Day is commemorated annually to celebrate the continent’s rich cultural diversity, honour the legacy of African ancestors, and promote unity, peace, and development among nations. The event brought together dignitaries and guests from across Africa, reinforcing the spirit of continental solidarity and shared purpose.
Before the formal celebrations, Premier Ntuli visited the grave of King Senzangakhona to pay homage to the father of legendary Zulu kings Shaka, Dingane, and Mpande. The visit underscored the deep respect for African leadership, history, and the ancestral figures who have shaped the continent’s identity.
At the stadium, Premier Ntuli addressed the crowd, reflecting on the importance of Africa Day in fostering a sense of collective belonging, resilience, and commitment to building a prosperous future for all Africans.
