KwaZulu-Natal – 18 April 2025 - KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, spent Good Friday in deep spiritual reflection and solidarity with communities of faith across the province, marking one of the most sacred days on the Christian calendar with acts of worship, compassion, and unity.

Premier Ntuli began the day in Durban, joining the Diakonia Council of Churches for the annual Good Friday Easter Service, where he participated in the symbolic carrying of the cross through the streets of the city. This powerful tradition serves as a reminder of the journey of sacrifice, hope, and redemption central to the Easter message.

“This sacred act speaks to our collective duty to walk alongside one another, not only in moments of faith, but in service and solidarity with those in need,” Premier Ntuli remarked. “Easter reminds us of the importance of compassion, sacrifice, and renewal as we build a more just and peaceful society.”

Continuing his Easter observance, Premier Ntuli visited Oasis Church in Umlazi, where he joined the congregation in worship under the leadership of Pastor Khaya Mthethwa. The Premier’s presence was warmly received, and his message of hope and peace resonated with attendees.

He concluded his Good Friday engagements at Kingdom Life Ministries, where he reflected on the power of prayer, community, and spiritual renewal. These engagements formed part of his broader commitment to connect with faith-based organisations that continue to play a pivotal role in social upliftment, healing, and moral regeneration across the province.
