KwaZulu-Natal – March 2025
In a bold move to fast-track service delivery and strengthen government responsiveness, the 7th Administration led by KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli will roll out a focused intervention in the Amajuba District through the District Development Model (DDM) Cabinet Day.
This initiative is part of Premier Ntuli’s vision for a people-centered government that is visible, accessible, and action-oriented. The DDM Cabinet Day brings the full weight of the provincial leadership closer to the people—ensuring direct interaction between communities and government to swiftly address critical service delivery challenges.
During this focused engagement, Premier Ntuli and members of the Executive Council will conduct oversight visits, monitor the progress of ongoing projects, and identify blockages that may be hindering development. The programme will place emphasis on accelerating progress in key sectors including healthcare, education, water provision, infrastructure, and economic development.
“The DDM Cabinet Day is more than just an event—it is a demonstration of our commitment to serve,” said Premier Ntuli. “It reflects the values of the 7th Administration, where accountability, efficiency, and tangible change guide every action we take.”
By leveraging the District Development Model, government aims to foster collaboration across all levels—local, provincial, and national—under the One Plan, One Budget framework. This model ensures that planning and implementation are aligned with the unique needs of each district, and that all departments work in synergy to deliver real outcomes.
The Amajuba District stands to benefit significantly from this hands-on approach, with communities set to receive updates, voice their concerns, and witness the government’s commitment to turning plans into progress.
As KwaZulu-Natal enters this new era of service delivery, the DDM Cabinet Day stands as a hallmark of the Premier’s promise: a government that listens, acts, and delivers for its people.
