Mayville, 18 March 2025 – KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, presided over the Premier’s Coordinating Forum (PCF) District Development Model (DDM) Indaba in Mayville today. The forum aimed to enhance cooperation between different spheres of government and advance the province’s intergovernmental relations framework.
The PCF DDM Indaba served as a strategic platform to launch integrated service delivery initiatives and roadshows across KwaZulu-Natal’s 11 municipal districts. These efforts were geared toward improving the implementation of the DDM, which seeks to align government policies, plans, and programs for more effective service delivery.
Addressing the gathering, Premier Ntuli emphasized the importance of intergovernmental collaboration in ensuring that government services reach communities efficiently and equitably. The discussions focused on key governance challenges, the need for improved coordination, and the importance of a unified approach to development.
The Indaba reinforced the provincial government’s commitment to fostering inclusive governance, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring that municipalities operate in synergy to drive sustainable development.
As KwaZulu-Natal continues to implement the DDM framework, Premier Ntuli assured stakeholders that the provincial government would remain steadfast in its mission to create a well-coordinated and service-driven administration that meets the needs of its people.
