KwaZulu-Natal, March 2025 – KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, expressed deep concern over the severe weather conditions that recently ravaged communities across the province. Heavy rains and flooding caused widespread destruction, displacing families and damaging critical infrastructure.
In response to the disaster, Premier Ntuli visited Inanda and Lamontville to assess the situation firsthand and offer support to affected residents. The provincial government worked closely with disaster management teams and various stakeholders to provide immediate relief, including emergency shelter, food supplies, and medical assistance for those impacted.
Premier Ntuli extended his sympathies to all affected families, reaffirming the government’s commitment to mobilizing resources for recovery and rebuilding efforts. He urged residents to remain vigilant, heed weather warnings, and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
Additionally, the Premier visited 41 flood-affected families at Bayside in Durban CBD to check on their well-being and ensure their accommodation needs were addressed. The visit underscored the government’s dedication to providing aid and long-term support to those hardest hit by the disaster.
As KwaZulu-Natal continued to recover from the devastating floods, Premier Ntuli reassured residents that the government remained steadfast in its mission to restore stability and rebuild affected communities.
