The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli will visit the families of the four deceased and one surviving victim at Nyezane area, in Estcourt.
This comes after four people aged 45, 57, 60 and 61 were gunned down on Sunday afternoon, 27 October 2024.
According to police, six heavy armed suspects entered a homestead where there was a traditional celebration, shot and killed three people who died on scene and wounded two, one of whom later succumbed to injuries.
The six suspects could not be identified because they had masked their faces, however, a swift intelligence driven investigation led the police to arrest a 28-year-old suspect who was found with a gunshot wound on his chest and a broken arm who was receiving medical attention in a local medical facility.
