CSD

MESSAGE ON THE CSD RFQ ROLLOUT
The National Treasury continues to advance its automation initiatives, with the Central Supplier Database (CSD) processes moving toward full digitisation. The complete automation of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process now enables organs of state to issue RFQs electronically and allows suppliers to submit their responses online. The CSD enables active suppliers invited to respond to an RFQ to view and download supporting RFQ documents, indicate whether they intend to respond to the RFQ, and submit their quotations through the CSD. This functionality will minimize the risk of suppliers responding to fake RFQs. Suppliers can trust RFQs published on CSD as the Organ of State’s invitation to participate in the procurement of goods and/or services. Suppliers are kindly requested to ensure that their profiles are updated regularly. Should suppliers require assistance with the updating of their profile, they are requested to contact the Provincial Treasury’s CSD office directly at 0800 201 049 or electronically, at database@kzntreasury.gov.za
