KwaZulu-Natal Premier Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli commenced a two-day School Functionality Programme in the King Cetshwayo District today, aimed at ensuring a successful start to the 2025 academic year.
During this initiative, Premier Ntuli will visit selected schools to assess their readiness for the academic term. His engagements include identifying any challenges in teaching and learning, meeting with school management and teachers, and motivating learners to strive for excellence.
In light of KwaZulu-Natal’s recent improvements in matric performance, Premier Ntuli stressed the importance of maintaining momentum towards achieving even better results in the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. He called on all stakeholders—educators, parents, communities, and learners—to collaborate in creating an environment conducive to quality education.
“Education is the cornerstone of our province’s development,” said Premier Ntuli. “We are committed to working together with schools and communities to overcome obstacles and ensure that KwaZulu-Natal’s learners reach their full potential.”
The School Functionality Programme underscores the provincial government’s dedication to building a robust education system, recognising that academic success is essential for the broader growth and prosperity of KwaZulu-Natal.
