KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Honourable Thamsanqa Ntuli, led a roadblock operation on the N2 highway near the Jozini offramp, where he took a moment to personally acknowledge and thank law enforcement officers for their ongoing commitment to public safety. Despite the challenging circumstances facing many officers, Premier Ntuli praised their dedication, resilience, and continued efforts to uphold peace and security in the province.
Addressing the assembled officers, Premier Ntuli expressed his appreciation for the critical role they play, noting, “Your efforts inspire hope among the people of KwaZulu-Natal, who hold great respect and gratitude for the exemplary work you are doing.” He encouraged officers to remain steadfast in their duties, highlighting the positive impact they have on communities across the province.
This roadblock was conducted in anticipation of the upcoming Cabinet Operation Sukuma Sakhe initiative, scheduled to take place in the Umkhanyakude District Municipality on Wednesday, 30 October 2024. This Operation Sukuma Sakhe session will bring together government leaders, law enforcement, and community stakeholders to address local issues and strengthen inter-agency collaboration within the region.
Premier Ntuli’s visit served as a reminder of the provincial government’s commitment to public safety and the continued support for the men and women dedicated to protecting KwaZulu-Natal’s citizens.
