The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Honourable Arthur Thamsanqa Ntuli will on Thursday 29 August lead the annual Provincial Women’s Prayer Day where he will outline government’s strategies to protect and empower women.
This significant gathering will serve as a platform for the Premier to communicate the Provincial Government’s priorities and initiatives aimed at empowering women and combating the scourge of Gender Based Violence and Femicide within the province. The Premier will emphasise prevention, support for victims, and the role of law enforcement in ensuring justice.
On women empowerment, the Premier will elaborate on the implementation of some of the strategies that he announced during the State of the Province Address. These programmes are crucial in advancing gender equality and providing women with the necessary tools and opportunities to thrive.
The Women’s Prayer Day is a unique and inclusive platform where the Provincial Clergy, Members of the Provincial Executive Council, Civil Society and members of the public come together to engage on various strategies on women empowerment.
