One day after presenting her State of the Province Address, the KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube -Ncube will honour her first commitment by awarding learners’ and drivers’ license support to more than 4 000 unemployed citizens of the province
This bold intervention was announced by Premier Dube-Ncube during her State of the Province Address and will be fulfilled when she engages the beneficiaries of the Thuthuka Driver Training Programme. The 4 000 beneficiries were selected from all districts in the province and will be supported financially by the provincial government to get learners and drivers license.
The programme is part of supporting and skilling the unemployed to prepare them for the job market and forms part of government’s broader campaign of S’thesha Waya Waya. S'thesha Waya Waya seeks to create jobs and open opportunities for the unemployed citizens.
Premier Dube-Ncube will be supported by the MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Sipho Hlomuka, various stakeholders including the driving school industry in the province.
