Premier Zikalala and MECs will host this day at the historic site to reflect the on role played by Mme Charlotte Maxeke and John Langalibalele Dube in fighting colonialism and apartheid at the same period.
Maxeke and Dube were born the in the same year. Had they both lived to this day they would be 150 years of age.
The two leaders had a lot in common in terms of their passion for equal rights. The first president of the democratic South Africa Dr Nelson Mandela cast his vote in 1994 in Ohlange, a school established by JL Dube.
