KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala, earlier this morning embarked on a campaign to gather the views and feelings of citizens about the state of the province.
This comes as Premier Zikalala prepares to deliver his annual State of the Province Address (SOPA) at the Agricultural Royal Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg next week.
The purpose of this engagement was to assess progress directly from the people on the ground and to get constructive suggestions and feedback from those that elected the government.
As part of this campaign, the Premier engaged with commuters at a taxi rank in Chesterville before boarding a taxi to the Durban CBD in an effort to garner their views on what they would like him to talk about during the SOPA.
