The Acting Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Sihle Zikalala, will meet with key business players from throughout the province at an executive leadership workshop organised by the KwaZulu-Natal Growth Coalition.
The interactive session will serve as a platform for robust engagement between government and the business community on issues relating to fostering economic growth in the province.
The workshop will be attended by more than 100 captains of industry and mayors from various municipalities in KZN and will discuss, among other matters, the acceleration of radical economic transformation, employment creation as well as challenges encountered by the business community.
As the second largest contributor to South Africa’s GDP – after Gauteng –KwaZulu-Natal is a vital cog to the national economy.
The KwaZulu-Natal Growth Coalition was set up in the year 2000 to promote engagement between government and business on the province’s developmental imperatives.
The Coalition is chaired by the Acting Premier of the province, Sihle Zikalala, in his capacity as the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.
