As the country continues to be in the unrelenting grip of gender-based violence, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala and eThekwini Mayor Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda lead a campaign to mobilise all men to join a crusade against violence to the most vulnerable in the society.
The campaign commenced with a motorcade by the law enforcement agencies from Bester on M25 Highway to eMtshebheni Taxi Rank and then to Amatikwe Community Hall, it all took place without undermining lockdown regulations that among others, prohibits large gatherings.
The message from the Premier and eThekwini mayor is that it would take men as perpetrators to take the bull by its horns and say no to this inhumane behaviour.
The march is aimed at sending a clear message to law enforcers to double their efforts in investigating gender-based violence cases.
The other message will be to tell institutions responsible for dispensing justice to lock perpetrators up as they do not belong to our society.
Members of the media were there to cover everything.
