KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala has conveyed his deepest condolences on behalf of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government on the sudden passing of the wife of the provincial Independent Electoral Commission’s deputy chief executive officer Mr Mawethu Mosery.
Premier Zikalala has learnt with shock that Mr Mosery’s wife, Nomusa Mosery, succumbed to a short illness on Sunday morning. The Premier visited the Mosery family on Tuesday morning to pay his condolences.
“On behalf of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government and all the people of this province, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to Mr Mosery and friends and relatives of the family for losing their loved one. Death, no matter what the circumstances, leaves a heartache no one can heal. It leaves a huge void in the bereaved family. We hope you will find strength during your time of suffering,” said Zikalala.
The IEC has the mammoth task of delivering a credible, free and fair elections at all levels of government and Mr Mosery has done an incredible job on this front. His job requires a lot of dedication and support from his family and is wife has indirectly played a significant role as a pillar of strength to her husband.
“Because of the credible work which has been done by the IEC in this province, we don’t have to hold our collective breath during election time in anticipation of complaints of about the fairness of our electoral processes. The IEC has always conducted its work with dignity and professionalism, always delivering free and fair elections at all levels of government,” said Zikalala
