This morning, ahead of the launch of 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, KZN Acting Premier who is the Leader of Government Business Nomusa Dube-Ncube congratulated the winners of the Crown Gospel Music Awards
She remarked: "Last night we join millions of people across the country and the world in celebrating the annual Crown Gospel Music Awards."
"As KwaZulu-Natal, we pride ourselves as the only province that presents to the world throughout the year, Africa’s unparalleled tapestry of cultures."
She boasted: "We have rich history and heritage and indeed magnificent topography that features evergreen valleys - eternally laughing waterfalls and attractive beaches.
"We are always ready to welcome both business and ordinary tourists.It is not surprising that the Crown Gospel Awards has attracted a great deal of interests from national and international music fans."
"Importantly, the awards afford national and international music lovers the opportunity to witness the cream of the Africa’s talent in gospel.
She further quipped: "This is a genre which has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of popularity and inspiration in recent times. Several previous winners of these awards have gone on to notch up high record sales of their albums."
She concluded: "We are confident that these awards will continue to serve as an inspiration to a future pool of music enthusiasts who wish to make a mark in gospel music.
